Here’s a blog that I’ve recommended and used in graduate-level courses on Applied Linguistics for Teachers, which I’ve taught in both English (at Loyola University Chicago) and Spanish (at La Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá), and both online and F2F.
The blog’s founder and primary contributor is François Grosjean, a notable professor of psycholinguistics in Switzerland.
This blog has the distinction of being housed in Psychology Today magazine’s website. Since the course I use it in deals with language acquisition and bilingualism, Life as a Bilingual is a great source for somewhat less-academic readings that students can explore. An exercise involved first selecting and summarizing an entry, and then writing a similar kind of entry, usually involving personal experience, as seen in many of the entries produced by Grosjean and his co-bloggers.

Thank you for your kind words. I’m thrilled my blog is of help. With best wishes. François Grosjean
You’re very welcome, and thanks for your work!
